Privacy Policy

What We Collect

When you use the downloader tool, we log lightweight, anonymized operational events (whether a request succeeded or failed, the media type, and processing time) so we can monitor the health of the service. We do not require or collect a Threads username, password, or account credentials at any point.

IP Addresses

Your IP address is used transiently for rate limiting and abuse prevention. Before any record is stored, it is passed through a one-way salted hash — we do not persist raw IP addresses in our analytics database.

Third-Party Media

We do not permanently store the videos, images, or GIFs you download. Media is either redirected directly from the source CDN to your browser, or streamed through our server in memory and discarded immediately after the request completes — it is never written to disk.

Cookies

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies for the public downloader tool. A short-lived, authentication-only cookie is used solely to keep an administrator logged into the internal admin dashboard, which is not accessible to regular visitors.

Analytics & Advertising

If enabled, this site may use Google Analytics and Google-served advertising, which operate under their own respective privacy policies. IP anonymization is enabled where supported.

Data Retention

Anonymized operational event records are retained for a limited period for troubleshooting and abuse prevention purposes, then automatically purged.
