Threads Video Downloader for iPhone
Works directly in Safari — no app to install. Paste a public post link below to get started.
We don't ask for your Threads password or account credentials.
Using This Tool on iPhone
- Open the Threads app, find your post, and tap the share icon to copy its link.
- Open Safari (or Chrome) and go to this page.
- Paste the link into the input field and tap “Download Video.”
- Tap the download button on the preview card.
Where does the file go?
Safari on iOS saves downloads to the Downloads folder inside the built-in Files app by default. You can open Files, tap “Downloads,” and from there share the video to your Photos library if you'd like it in your camera roll.
Long-press alternative
If your browser blocks the automatic download, press and hold the video in the preview card and choose “Save Video” from the menu that appears.
Files App vs. Photos App
iOS keeps two separate places videos can live: the Files app (a general document/file manager, where browser downloads land by default) and the Photos app (your camera roll, organized by date). A file sitting in Files won't automatically appear in Photos — you need to explicitly share it there. From the Files app, tap the video, tap the share icon, and choose “Save Video” to copy it into your Photos library as well.
Where in Files, exactly?
If you have iCloud Drive downloads enabled, Safari may save into “iCloud Drive > Downloads” instead of “On My iPhone > Downloads.” Both show up under the Files app's Downloads shortcut, but if you're looking for a file and don't see it, check both locations in the sidebar.
If Safari Plays the Video Instead of Downloading It
Occasionally Safari opens a video in its built-in player instead of prompting a download — this is a Safari behavior, not something the downloader controls. When it happens, use the long-press method above, or tap the share icon inside Safari's video player and choose “Save Video” from there.
